There's a few, and they're easy to spot. They include a lit Check Engine light, dirty or degraded surface fibers, weird engine noise, and unclean cabin odors. Your vehicle can even start producing too much exhaust. If you see these symptoms, it's probably time for a change. Otherwise, consult your owner's manual's filter maintenance schedule to find out when. It's recommended you take care of it about every 12,000 to 15,000 miles.
