OEM Belts and Hoses

Many moving parts must work simultaneously for your vehicle to run. Belts and hoses move most of them. Hoses do it using liquid pressure. Radiator hoses are a good example. They move coolant between your engine and radiator. Heater core hoses are another. They move it through your heating and air conditioning system, helping warm your cabin. Fuel hoses, however, connect your engine and gas tank; you often see them in older vehicles. Brake hoses, on the other hand, move brake fluid through brake lines. When the liquid reaches brake calipers, it clamps them to brake rotors, with brake pads in between. This creates the friction that slows and stops wheels. Belts are a little different. They move parts mechanically. Serpentine and drive belts, for instance, move alternator parts as well as those in systems like your power steering. Timing belts or timing chains, though, rotate camshafts. These keep engine pistons pumping and engine valves opening and closing. Lots of other belts and hoses do a lot more. Both can go bad, though.

What Are the Signs Belts Are Bad or Hoses Are Failing?

They're many, unfortunately. Aside from damage you can see, they include looseness, squeaks, leaking, battery issues, interior lighting that doesn't work right, and even a misfiring or overheating engine. That's not to mention systems failures. Bad hoses and faulty belts mean equally poor performance, or worse, a completely disabled vehicle. Luckily, you can get new OEM belts and hoses right from our auto parts counter. They'll be guaranteed compatible with your model right off the shelf. Order now and get your repairs done in no time.
