OEM Oil Filters

Motor oil greases up the many parts of an engine. It has impurities to begin with. Plus, it collects particulate as it lubricates. Your engine also produces lots of heat as it runs; if your radiator can't scatter that heat properly, it can turn oil into muck. What happens when all of this builds up? Your oil pump and its bearings start to wear out double time. They aren't the only parts that do, either. Luckily, your original oil filter helps keep that from happening.

What Do Oil Filters Do?

They capture most contaminants before they can cause problems in your engine. The best way to make sure that motor stays crud-free, then, is to change its oil filter consistently. You can replace it during every oil change or during every other one if you prefer. Either way, you should do it every 3 months at least, if not every 3,000 miles. However, don't trust keeping your engine in working order to the aftermarket. Oil filters not made by your brand for your model specifically may not have the right gasket and thread sizes. Use the wrong filter, and it'll have two consequences: the filter can either leak oil or it can detach completely from your oil pump. The first is bad enough for an engine, but the second usually results in serious engine damage. The best replacement for your vehicle, then, is an OEM oil filter. It'll fit the model you drive most reliably. You can order one online, right here at our auto parts counter. So, enjoy peace of mind that you're getting the real thing -- buy now. We'll ship immediately, right to your door.
